SKORSIEDELER - QUICK AND SAFE GEM SQUASH CUTTER - PATENT 2021/00965
This invention entails a tool for a chef or any person preparing food and specifically to cut through any hard peel fruit and/or vegetables safely and easily.
The invention consists of a wide blade that is pushed through the vegetable with some leverage action, similar to a biltong cutter, but with definate differences.  There are mainly five differences between a biltong cutter and the SKORSIESNYER.
(1) The rectangular blade is sharpened on two adjacent sides.
(2) The blade width is twice that of a normal biltong cutter.
(3) The blade is sharpenend at the front and at the back so that the edge appears in the middel. This prevents the cut from going skew.   (4) The SKORSIEDELER is higher for better clearance between the blade and cutting bord.
(5) The SKORSIESNYER is able to roll and guide the gem squash while being cut. The sharp point between the two adjacent sharpened edges, is the starting point of the cut, and the vegetable with a hard peel like the gem squash is easily penetrated by the sharp edge and then rolled while being cut.  The rolling is guided to make a precision half cut.

The invention is aimed to split gem squashes in half, safely and quickly.
